Hi all! Happy New Day! I decided this year is going to be a one day at a time year and therefore each day deserves a celebration! I am celebrating today because my holiday season was a sober one. I was on this same site about 7 weeks ago, totally wasted out of my mind, looking for help. I was so screwes up that I can't remember who I signed on as so today I am the "new me".

I am thankful for those who helped me that night. I ended up going to a treatment program- voluntarily- and getting intensive care. I relapsed the day I got out, but I am now sober for 22 days. Thanks for being there.

I have been having trouble sleeping lately and struggle with not using anything for sleep. Of course there are no 12 step meetings at 5am in the small town where I live, so I decided to write and call this a meeting.

well done on gettingsobber, sleep is a major isue for a lot of ex addicts/alcoholics but like everything it gets easier, i found doing something like walk dogs late at night and not try to sleep till i was very tired and trying not to sleep in to much ( easier said than done sometimes ) helped me a heck of a lot,
