Hi All,

I'm brand-new to this forum, and in early recovery (again). Today is Day 6.

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has any experience in using Campral. My doc prescribed it for me, but I'm wondering how effective it really is.

No experience, here. But I wanted to welcome you to Sober Recovery. This site is jumping most of the time - someone will be along tonight or tomorrow who can better answer your question.

I've been on Campral for four months now. I personally think it's a Godsend. There are others for whom it didn't work this well, I think it was a 60/40 chance ... but it's done the job for me.
Kinda pricy ... but worth it.

We have had discussions before on our
Alcoholism Forum on Campral.

Some of our members do use it and
find it effected.

Some members did not find it was helpful.

I did not use it as it was marketed after
I was sober.

I would have tried it in early sobriety otherwise.
I did use Antabuse
but the 2 drugs are totally different.
