Hi ashenrain :). 2 days is a great start and I know you will make some sober friends here.

I have been to some open AA meetings with my recovering daughter. And I go to Alanon. If you keep attending meetings, my guess is you'll meet a lot of new friends. I have never met more caring people in my life. AND very interesting. Good luck! K

welcome! i know bend has a great fellowship... keep up the good work!!

Thank you so much for all of your replies...I have gone to 2 meetings today..and think that keeping myself busy with those throughout the day are going to help me get through more days. It sucks I feel scared..a bit exposed...and frightful of not following through. I feel like I need a babysitter...I also am worried about not detoxing professionally without meds...ect. does anyone have any natural remedies for detoxing without western medicine intervention?

Cheerio

Welcome to SoberRecovery. Congrats on day 5.

good on you and 5 days - in my experience, the mental and spiritual will follow the physical recovery. Anyone can fight the battles of just one day.

10 days today? That's great. Are you still less weirder to yourself :) ?

Hi Ashenrain,

I just wondered how you are doing. Early sobriety is hard and often emotional, so I hope you know that you are not alone. We understand and we are here to help.
