Newbie here...family member of alcoholic
 

Hi everyone! I am so glad I found a site like this...

I have an alcoholic mother who I just don't know how to deal with. I am 23 and have supported (and enabled) her for the past few years when the disease was discovered. I am angry, scared, hurt, and upset along with a million other emotions. We had a great relationship until this all began and now I am not so sure it will ever get better.

Enough about me- I hope to learn a lot from everyone here and try to understand where she is coming from and what I can do to help myself first and her second (as cruel as that may sound).
