I went to the Dr. today and I started crying.I have been depressed lately and I don't know why.I don't think about drinking or anything like that,so anyway she wants me to go to counseling.I told her I don't make that much money,but she wants me to go anyway.I have to think about this one.

Please go if possible. Did your Dr. give you any anti-depression meds. If not, i would go back and tell her you want to try. Many come as generics to save you money. I have chronic dep. and con the rehab dr. that i wasn't depressed. Finally. after 2 yrs of being sober, I nose dived into a bad depression and got drunk. After that, I decided to go back therapy with a dr. that specializes in addiction. So now i have about 16 mos. because i did what I was told to do: take my meds, get a new sponsor, go to meetings and work the steps. I wish you the best and Merry Christmas.

Please check around your area Call the county health
department and medical society.
You can often find doctors who will work with you on a
sliding fee basis.

Your AA group might know of this also.

There is hope and healing...Keep looking.

I have another long day at work again today.I will try all your suggestions and see if that will help me out.I think it might be the holidays,but you never know.I'm going to call around this morning so I will talk with you all tonight.
