TOPIC: Where Does The True Spirit Of Recovery And Christmas Lye?

Hi my name is sharon and im an Alcoholic.
By the grace of my HP and people like
you here in SR i havent had a drink
of alcohol since 8-11-90. for that im
grateful.
This is the time of the yr. that we
begin thinking of the true meaning of
the holidays. We also think about
the meaning of our recovery and
it's importance to us.
Where do u think the Spirit of Christmas
lyes? Where does the spirit of ur progam
lye?
For me it is within my heart. The true
Spirit of Christmas is within me and so
is my recovery program.
The Spirit that gives me hope, joy and
love. Without that Spirit i would feel
alone, sad, disappointed.
This season Im allowing the Spirit
of the true meaning of the holidays
to burn a little brighter than before.
Today i will alow the spirit of the true
meaning of my program to burn brighter,
stronger within me as i continue on in
my recovery journey.
Thanks for letting me share.

I think the most important thing at this time of year, no matter whether you celebrate Christmas, Hannukah, or nothing at all, is that you can share the season with family and friends...and how much better if you happen to be enjoying sobriety.
