Now...just a minute here....
This is a dangerous place for me to be....wait a sec

okay- got my codie recovery hat on so I can help y'all out without having an Alanon relapse.
Lemmeee see if I have this right...You ALL are out there lookin for luv??
Ohhhh ...if I only knew this before, maybe I wouldda not come to this party!!! Too late for that now- I've grown accustomed to y'all. ;-)

L
why aren't you lookin in the 'right' places?? Pottery making class, doggy's day out club.....volunteering to read to the elderly etc?? Maybe the guys will become more useful and have some good ideas for you...(don't hold ur breath)

R & N
You two I will have to think about...my codie hat is slipping off right now.. How about some prayers for you to find whatever HP has for you? Yep..I think that's the best thing for me to do anyhow, short of finding where you live and dragging you both out to meet some nice ladies!!!

Y'know what I need? A job. The perfect job for me...to work at home at my own pace...which can move pretty fast if I need it to. Yep- some extra $ would come in handy. Any ideas?
So did you think I was _just_ here to help out? Heck no! I have an agenda!!!

Hi Kev,
please note the >>>> lol!!!

what do you like to do? >>>anything but sales!!
work at home?>>>>>I'd like that option when needed
amount of money?>>>>>yes
what hours?>>>>>part to full time
I am a former preK teacher!! I was working towards my BA in early childhood education and need one more yr plus internship. I quit working for various reasons... it was time for a change- and my hubby had become seriously disabled. I had plans to get a degree as a licensed mental health/social worker....but am not sure what I want to do when I grow up!
I'm very open for a change of vocation... and need something flexible so I can take care of things at home- especially when hubby has problems with his health. He's fine now...but has periodic bouts of being very ill- and I just can't work someplace new and keep taking time off. So I'm sort of retired at present and he works full time! HP has a plan but I'm not in on it yet.
I should go over to my univ. and talk to a counselor- I had done that a couple years ago re the counseling degree (addictions counselor?) I might still want to do that...not sure. I'm sort of waiting for a miracle...for things to fall into place that will work for me. Advice is welcome!

btw...you may just bump into the future mrs nogard when you least expect it!
Make sure she's handy with a paintbrush. lol

lol yes I awlays ask about the paintbrush and I was told recently to pray and hand it over each time a new lady came into my life. I do that.

Out of all of that waht stands out is; "I should go over to my univ. and talk to a counselor- I had done that a couple years ago re the counseling degree (addictions counselor?) I might still want to do that...not sure. I'm sort of waiting for a miracle...for things to fall into place that will work for me. Advice is welcome"

So off you go and cut out the should, put a spring in your step and go check it out, we could use more good D&A counsellors

dang! you and cmc had a little party without me yesterday.

How on earth would I have time to meet anyone... anywhere..... for anything....... except at mtg's???? lol
I am a single mom w/two busy daughters. I have a full time job and I will loose it all if I don't keep my sobriety in the number one spot priority wise. I don't have time for classes right now. I am lucky I can take my dog for a walk. Don't get me wrong.. I am not complaining. I am just stating I have a very busy, very full life. It is a gift of grace and I am not willing to jeopardize it at this point by changing what I am doing that is working. I am willing though to slowly move out of my comfort zone and try new places and such. I think I need to start branching out to different mtg's.

Hope your weekend is going well Kev.
Love you double!

Hi L,
I think you are very wise to know your limits and what will work for you right now. Just being a single momma of little ones can take alot of energy- not to mention all the fine recovery work you are doing
Trying some different meetings is a good idea and there's nothing wrong if you just let it 'be' and trust that things will happen as they should.
hugs,
cmc

ps..
Hey! What in the world does TTFN mean?? Educate me!

TTFN = Ta Ta For Now (Tigger said it in Winnie the Pooh all the time!)

Faith is the key to acceptance.

I am celebrating my weekend. I slept in until 6:30AM!!!!

ty L.
Faith is the key to acceptance.
This short sentence means alot to me...it's just what I needed for today. Lately I am sorting through some 'stuff' on both sides of the 'accept what I cannot change...and wisdom to know the difference' prayer.
btw I luuuuvvvv Tigger! He's my pal.
TTFN to you too!

Ah..I get the picture now. So no workie for one day? That's not too bad, in fact may be just what you needed to take a bit of a rest. Of course- that's easy for me to say since I'm not payin' the bills!! lol

What are you doing for your mean ole aching back? heat or cold compresses?
