this was in my morning newspaper today, " william b. who apparently sexually assaulted a fellow university student at a frat party in 1984, then apologized to her over 20 years later as a part of his 12 step AA program, has pleaded guilty to the crime and will face sentencing within the month." and i thought i had problems!!! goodmorning everyone, here's to another day of sobriety. god bless!!!!

Step 9 says, "Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others." In this case he harmed himself. I think he should have gone to the woman in private to apologise.

I watched it last month on msnbc. They had an indepth report on the matter. If he is in this anoynomous program he should of thought this out more. Unless when to do so would injure them or others. She was hurt all over again, enough to go to the law and bring up charges. He now needs to pay his old debt to society and not bring AA into it. It's always been in God's hands.
