Thumbs up What Are You Thankful For?

Being close to thanksgiving I thought that this would be nice to see what people are thankful for! I know for me I have a lot to be thankful for:

1. I am thankful that I am clean
2. I am thankful that my children call me.
3. I am thankful that I have somewhat of a life today
4. I am thankful for SR
5. I am thankful that I don't ever have to use again.
6. I am thankful for the friends that I have acquired
7. I am thankful for the steps in the Program to lead me to a better life.
8. I am thankful that I have fingers.
9. I am thankful that I know how to be thankful

I am thankful that I am alive and well.
I am thankful that my husband and kids are also.
I am thankful that I never killed myself or anyone else (by accident or otherwise)
I am thankful that I am not in jail.
I am thankful that my best friend is alive--although it has been a really tenuous week since she had her stroke.
I am thankful for the AA and SR communities.

Grateful for many things but lately realising that we are spiritual beings at heart and grateful that recovery has given me that knowledge and this life.

I am thankful for my wonderful husband who loves me no matter what.

I am thankful for my kids.

I am thankful for my dear friends here at SR (and for the internet/computer that made it possible for us to meet).

I'm thankful for my little house (even if it's hard to keep clean with so many of us crammed into it).

I'm so grateful for my fur-family--my sweet dogs. (I don't know how I'd make it without them--there's nothing like the unconditional devotion of a dog!)

I'm thankful for coffee. Really.

I'm thankful that alcohol does not run my life anymore.

I am thankful for good books!

I'm especially grateful for my mom.

I am thankful for the rest of my extended family.

I'm grateful to God for this good life, and the freedom to live it. (God, help me to not waste it or take the people in it for granted...)
(Thanks for starting this thread, Vic!)

I am thankful that I found SR so I didn't have to be addicted to my addict husband and all of the chaos that addiction can bring.

I am thankful that *I* have a program to work for my codependency issues.

I am thankful that my husband is clean today.

I am thankful for a caring family.

I am thankful for my little Maggie. (my dog)

I am thankful to live in a nice house and have nice things (well nice to me anyway)

I am thankful for a loving mother.

I am thankful for the ability to work.

I am thankful being in this world for one more day.

I'm thankful for so many people and situations ..

There's really only one gratitude that has made all this possible. I am most grateful for the courage to change and that, singlehandedly, has made, and will give every day of my life something to be grateful for.
