HELP! Am i doing the right thing?

I've supsected for a while that my 20 year old neice was using drugs. I just found out today that my suspicions were right......she's a heroin addict. I finally asked my sister exactly what was going on and she dropped the bomb on me. Said my niece went to a rehab last Christmas time but would only stay for a week. Long story short......i've been speaking to my sponsor, my counselor and my sister.....i've convinced my sister to speak to my counselor and get some direction. I've also agreed to speak to my niece (with my sponsor) if my sister thinks that would be helpful. The bottom line is my sister thinks everything would be hunky-dory if only my niece would get away from her boyfriend and i don't believe that's the case. I think she (my niece) needs long term treatment, heroin addiction (as far as i know) is not something you should try to kick on your own. I would appreciate any advice whatsoever, i don't want to miss my chance to be helpful to my family. My sponsor reminded me that maybe this is one of the gifts of my sobriety.

Thanks y'all

I do hope you're able to find a clear answer. It sounds like a difficult situation, but I think you could be helpful. Just try to remember how you may have felt if someone confronted you.
