I think its time
Hello everybody. Today is my first day to a new life. So I just wanted to say hi to the people who are going through to what I hate about my life. And that is alcohol abuse.

My name is Tom, I'm right up the street from you.
After many many yrs of drinking, I am sober today and lead a much more productive & happy life. Sober, yes, hard to believe, some days.
My life, w/o alcohol.........lol.........
It's a process, not an event for me!

Hi, and Welcome, Johnny! I'm about as far East in the U.S. as you can get; but, you and I still have a lot in common...mainly our alcoholism. We've all been where you are right now and had to go through whatever to get where we are today.
Hang in there, and keep posting/reading at SR...you'll find a lot of support here...even some occasional "words of wisdom".
