9 months clean today!!

today is my 9 month anniversary. wow. i never thought in my wildest imagination that i could have 9 months of uniterrupted sobriety without alcohol or drugs. its absolutely amazing that this program works when you have a sponser, go to meetings, and work steps.

my immediate goals are doing another 5th step. 6 months ago i did a 4th/5th step but have struggled with my defects (6 and 7) pretty mightily. i think i need to share more of my 4th step with my sponser. we spent only 2 1/2 hours doing it and we hardly got to anything. anyway i look at it, working a step can only be helpful.

i have a service commitment, im plugged into the program, and at age 26 the thought of having 1 year sober is beyond exciting. but im not even looking 3 months ahead, just focused on today and when tommorow gets here ill worry about it than.

glad i found SR, its been comforting for me since i moved out of my safety zone (my recovery house) a month ago.

For me 9 months was a real turning point.... I felt that the last peel of the onion had finally split away and I began feeling a sense of who I REALLY was.

that is so great...i remember the first time you posted the story of how you turned your life around....and in such a short period of time...it was very inspiring...congratulations...you are doing a wonderful thing...you should be very proud of your accomplishment...it's not an easy thing you are doing...
