hello folks,
just reporting in from Sunny new mexico.
Oct.11th hit ninety days! wooo hoooo
Our support groups are marvelous. i made a meeting in San Diego on the way into the States, 2 in Albuqurque,NM and have been attending on and off in Las Vegas,NM.
I think it has been the meetings these past 90 days that has helped me stay sober. duhhh. I know it is the meetings!
First day back at my place in Mora,NM had to dump all the stuff left over from last year. 1pint of Rum. 2 quarts of homemade chokecherry wine and 2 quarts of regular wine. I came into the house and while looking for stuffs to open up the place ie; turning on the water, opening windows etc. i found some stuff and then decided to start pouring out the booze so as not to be tempted down the road when im all alone and feeling meloncohly. After it was all dumped I realized i could have given it to somebody who doesn't have a problem.
How would i know if they had a problem....i guess we aren't wearing a sign on the forehead stating we are alcoholics! Beter off pouring it all out.
And guess what? I never missed it! I dun drink anymore...why shud i miss it.
