Hi Im Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.

like you here in SR i havent had a drink
of alcohol since 8-11-90. For that
im truely grateful.

There are many here in SR that
are newcomers as well as those
that have been around here awhile.

What to share....your own experiences,
strengths and hopes of what ur life
as been like before during and now
with drugs or alcohol.

When did u begin using....what
happen to u when u were using...
did u get DWI or lost a job....Did
u hit bottom and realize now that
u cant stop drinking or using on ur
own....

Are u Willing to admit that u r POWERLESS
over drugs or alcohol? Do u have the DESIRE
to stop using or drinking?

Are you willing to go to any lengths
to do whatever it takes to stay clean
and sober?

Have you heard of NA and AA?

Do u know where AA or NA meetings
are located in ur area?

Can u get to one?

How about going to 90 meetings
in 90 days? All suggestions of course.

wow thats alot to take in, im very addicted to prescription meds, ecpecially hydrocodones, oxycodones, oxycontin, and well you get the picture. iv'e been using for at least 6 years now, ive been using very heavily for a year now maybe longer, i'm now using 25-35 pills a day some times more or less. i cant stop. it runs my life and im sick of it. the last time i used was about 9:00 am yesterday, i took my usual dose of 5 10 mil. tabs i havent used since then, im not feeling very well, but i know i dont want to use. im scared right now and thats just being honest. im not sure what to do, so i googled for addiction help and it lead me here!

from what i hear prescription meds are very bad withdrawals, my demon is alcohol so unfortunatly i can't help much but i'm sure alot of poeple on here can and try googles too for 'oxycontin withrawals' and maybe start a new post stating oxycontin withrawals help, you might get more veterans in that area
