Feeliong lower than a snake at present doing lots of meetings and hanging on.

Kevin, whats going on?

Guess I pushed things too hard, wanted to meet a lady and so I did only to discover that its not that simple in recovery and that I did not want to be with her. It has brought up so many things from how my "relationships" when I was drinking. Basically they where disgusting. I accpeted anything I was offered.

So its good to know I have choices now but awful to live through what I did and put up with all those years. My self worth was -trillions.

I am wandering around feeling flat and struggling. I will not force issues again. I was doing well facing issues as they came up and moving forward.

Now I am immersed in pain and loathing by my own hand.

Honey, don't beat yourself up. I take it this was one your first attempts at a relationship in sobriety, right? Many of us have to go through the same thing: not knowing what a healthy person looks like, we're naturally attracted to the crazed wacko's we've always gone for. She was part of the learning experience, and next time you'll know what not to choose...or the next time, or the time after that, or the time after that......we addict/alcoholics are pretty hardheaded when it comes to seeing those big flashing neon signs that the rest of humanity avoids. Give yourself as break, you're not alone!

kevbro yea kev, as GG mentioned... no need to beat yourself up... thats what The Rat wants you to do... :headbange ... one of my fave lines is from the 12 & 12 .... when boy meets girl on AA/NA campus, they have to be emotionaly, physicaly, and spiritualy fit... weather its on the campus, or out there... its a MF'k'r... believe me, did it, done it, and made it through... and lucky i saved my (_rz_)... :sweat

Oh ((Kev)) I can SO understand what your feeling .......My b/f has NO IDEA,...of the world that ive come from,....he's does'nt understand it or care of it, n I dont blame him for that,!.....But it's taken ALOT of patience from him with me for us to still be a WE...!

lol thanks guys. I sure hope there will be a next time, but one thats unlike the last ten years worth.

Feeling much better this morning, 2 meetings a day and meetings after the meetings + SR and talking to members sure moved me along.
