Sober for 5 days I was feeling great about myself after 5yrs of drinking almost every night. Wife had to go to work for a few hours this evening
and I couldnt help myself. The only thing that keeps me from crying is that
I finished off my inventory. God give the strength to not go to the store tomorrow.

There is lots of support here and please know that you are not alone!

Beating ourselves up doesn't help. But knowing we can't do it alone does. If you can do it for five days, you can do it as long as anybody. One day at a time!

Yeah, I've relapsed lots of times.. it takes what it takes. Hopefully you have learned that picking up doesn't help anything.. just makes your life worse and more depressed. I probably would have finished off my "inventory" as well.... don't allow any more booze in your house!
