I'm doing better today.
I was outside earlier and the thought dawned on me "hey, I don't feel so bad right now." I enjoyed the gentle breeze of the air and remembered my gratitude list.

Early recovery is just plain difficult. Each day that you get through without picking up is a story of accomplishment. Please don't talk yourself into being a loser. I think you're just expecting too much of yourself right now. You don't have to get straight A's in school, you don't have to do anything perfect.. Give yourself a break and realize that just staying sober is already a full plate. The only obligation you really have to do is to not pick up... You'll get through the school stuff, maybe not as well as you want but you will get through it and look back one day at yourself one day totally amazed!! Every day you succeed in staying sober brings you that much closer to being the woman you want to be. So, think positive, white knuckle it if you've got to but just be proud of yourself for not allowing your past to become your future.
You are a complete winner in our eyes!!!
