Viable alternatives to AA?
Are there any?
I fell off the wagon after a number of years of sobriety. That was just weeks ago and I'm already even suffering mild DTs from stopping, which probably goes to show how bad the alcohol affects me.
Unfortunately AA meetings have never 'clicked' with me, so I wondered about alternatives.
Believe me, I'll take AA if I have to - I will die if a don't - but I just wondered if anyone had found a similary effective organisation.

I used AA for a bit, and now I'm trying to use the tools from SMART. It takes work to think rationally through situations, but it can be done. I haven't yet found anything that simply takes away the cravings and clears my mind of all the alcohol thinking.
