Happy to be new!

I actually found this site while looking for Internet Infidels (long story). I was really amazed when I looked this place over and decided to join at once. But I didn't know if I should post in the newcomer's forum because once upon a time I had 5 year's sobriety in AA. Then some really awful things came down in my life (I know, I know!), and I decided that my 5 year's sobriety entitled me to drink just a small glass of wine now and then for my "nerves." I don't think I had more than 2 or 3 sober days in the next 3 years. At the end I was drinking a pint plus of Jim Beam everyday (often chased with a 1/2 pint of vodka or a 5th or so of wine). The 4 horsemen were the only friends I had.
I have two weeks sobriety today! Yay, me! I guess I DO qualify as a newcomer, don't I? Me and my magical alcoholic mind!
My DOC is MORE! More alcohol, more oxycodon, more ativan, more meth, more, more, MORE!
I live in a little town that has only 2 AA meetings a week. Right now, I feel I need 2 a day!
I look forward to getting to know you all and both give and get what support I can.
Yours,
the "Mule"

My DOC choice was similar to yours - MORE, but mostly meth. I've been clean for 6 months now so if you ever need someone to chat to I might be able to help - or even if I can't I can definately listen.

Thank you all for the welcome! I'm so glad to have a place to come on-line when I need a meeting and there's none around in IRL! And thanks, Dreamz. That MORE can really get to you, eh?
