68 Days for Aristo !

Hi Folks - Long time to hear !

I've been super busy getting on with my life.

68 Days clean for me ! YAY !

Here's what I have been doing :

* Sold my PT business (yesterday).
* Working back in IT couple of days a week
* Sold my house and moved into a rental for a bit.
* Bought myself a new car - lovely ! (Very fast)
* Also bought an old race car I am going to work on (my project)
* Slowly distancing myself from the Ex (Also realising that she is not well either)
* Been seeing a lovely girl (she used to have eating disorders but has been clean for 6 years - she is very well now and we get along great - She knows about my background as I have been totally honest and upfront with here about it - very hard for me to divulge this - but truley the best thing to do - She understands and it is no big deal for her)
* Helping my Sister set up her new shop
* Weekly councelling sessions which I am getting HEAPS out of ! I really enjoy going there and my Dr says he is VERY proud of my progress.
* I have also set up a site to help other Aussies with Addiction issues - my part of giving back and my service - (search on SoberDownUnder in google if you want to take a look)

I am feeling pretty good - apart from the mornings - still takes me like 3 hours before I am fully awake -

I have put on 4 kgs in weight since I have stopped drinking - Mainy due to bad eating and no excersise - fixing this is on the agenda !!

Hope everyone is well here !

With Peace,

Aristo !

ME TOO!!!!!

I have so much trouble getting up and - my tummy seems a little cushier since I've stopped using - but I'd prefer to
be a tired little chub chub than a drug user!!!

Congrats on the 68 days!!!

Hi, Aristo! Congratulations!

It sounds like you're making a lot of positive changes at a very rapid pace. I don't want to rain on your parade, I want to encourage and congratulate you. I only want to say please cherish the most important change: sobriety. You're right, get on with your life, use the Serenity Prayer: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference."

Keep your head on straight, my friend. Change is difficult, even change for the better.

Congratulations on your many successes Aristo, that's awesome.

I am particularly amazed at how you've begun giving back in such a big way. That's amazing and shows your dedication and commitment to your well being and that of others. Good on you.

In terms of dealing with the ex and the new gf, all good stuff too. It is hard to recognize the entanglements for what they are when we are immersed in a bad relationship, but sounds like you've seen them and have made your decision. In terms of the new gf, that's awesome that you were up front with her and honest. It is the only way to be man.

Again, congratulations to you on your many accomplishments ... your sobriety most of all.

Peace and good fortune, Levi
