Little Victories

46 days and counting...

I'm declaring some little victories! ... Here are some of mine...

1. No hangovers
2. No wondering if I reek like a brewery and whether anyone can smell it
3. No surprises about where I parked my car or wondering if its okay
4. No drunk dialing to clean up
5. No posting while drunk to clean up
6. No police wanting to talk with me or waking up in a jail cell -- woo-hoo!
7. No wondering where I put my license, credit cards, money or keys
8. No wondering why my pants are on the kitchen table
9. No waking up to the realization that there are now MORE problems in my life
10. No having to make sense of memory flashbacks from prior nights
11. No wondering whether or not I "spilled the beans" about something
12. No waking up with disorientation, trying to figure out which part of my life I'm currently in

This one I just now realized...

13. No fear... Worry? sure... Concern? sure... Anxiety? sure... But NOT fear!

What are some of your current little victories?

Here's another one...

The last couple weeks, there were days when I actually looked forward to going into work! Wooo-hooo! (In my job, enjoying the work is very important)

Here's another one... I'm not sure exactly when this one happened, but its there.

My AA group is a "home" for me now! Its not something I "have" to go to, its not something I do because I "need" to go there... Instead, its a place I go to because I WANT to go there!

And another little victory... Recently I helped someone to join my AA group. It was her choice, but I was able to help "ease the way" for her.

The self-cons seem to have gone away, (or maybe they're just hiding?). Part of me isn't trying to convince myself to relapse anymore!!!

Social situations are starting to get easier (just like the Promises promise). They are becoming less awkward and I don't have to "put up a front" like I always used to.
