Good job Freddy!
Kickboxing went well. Wore my weighted Meister gloves, theyíre only one pound each. But it helps to burn extra calories.
I did a n bed stretching class. I donít like stretching! But I know that itís important to do it.
Finished with my red light and near infrared light therapy.
Night all.

Day 13 ahead for me. I was transferred to an acute care hospital for physical therapy yesterday after being in regular hospital since 1/3/24. 1 week and I should be home and itís even 2 degrees above zero this morning. I have made great progress in 13 days. From No walking at all to not needing a walker! It is good to be here.

I’m glad you made it back Imvalentine - but it sounds like you’ve been through the wringer.
I definitely got to the point I wasn’t sure I had another recovery in me…

I felt sure every drink might lead to my last day above ground.

Congrats on 13 days

Yesterday was a tough anxiety day with panic attacks and all that fun stuff. But, today is a new day. I still managed a productive day at work yesterday, got in some exercise and also some meditation. Most importantly that first drink never crossed my lips.

I hope you all are staying warm and have good days today.

I am committed to 24 more. No beer for me today

I'll get myself out of the house today.
I need to do some shoveling, bring in firewood, run some errands and do some snowshoeing.
I've gotten way to sedentary and really need to start an excersize regimen.
One of the great things about being free from alcohol now,
Is knowing that my body's systems are probably close to being back to normal
after 2 months without alcohol .
so any activity that I do will give me a full benefit.
I hope you all have a good day.

Day 195 ODAAT -2 here this morning. Hope you at least have a space heater for the garage. I have to at least get out of the house each day even if I only walk out to the back garage for a while and work on something.

Hi everyone,
Day 87 today
Joined my walking group again on Monday and went to yoga class yesterday. My back is still not 100%, but I feel great being able to exercise again.
Can't believe it will be 3 months in 3 day's time.
Never thought I'd get there this time around
Stay strong and warm , those who are in the midst of winter now.
xxx

Congrats on day 87 Ayers!!
WTG on 195(!) DD!
DD- no space heater in garage. I managed to stay warm by working out.

Did a great Arms + Abs ďShredĒ class tonight. It feels good to have a daily workout under my belt again. And to be able to log it in here on SR.
Got a lot of the garbage from my garage down to recycling. This was probably the final haul.
Dogs had a chilly day at the dog park. Baked brownies for Mr Pekeís coworkers. My bike is tuned up and has new tires. Looking forward to picking it up tomorrow. Unfortunately itís going to rain and snow for the next few days. Might just take it out for a quick spin.
Ate chips and salsa for dinner but still hungry

When I was drinking,
I didn't watch much TV.
Basically I would just stare out the window like a zombie.
I might watch utube comedy , but still just zone out after glass 4,5,6,etc.
lately I pick up sitcom DVDs from the library.
I still don't watch tons of TV, but I do comprehend and enjoy what I do watch now.

I also picked up a travel book on Charleston, SC as lady friend and I plan on going down there from Buffalo next month for 4 nights.
I hope it's warmer.
Anyway I've booked my lodging,
But am afraid I might've waited too long on booking flight, the price keeps going up.
Our depart date is Feb 19th.
Do I just bite the bullet and pay,
Or do the prices historically dip again?
I hate to gamble too much!
I haven't flown domestically much,
But it seems that I've flown to Miami much cheaper.

Morning all!
Zenith a Delta rep once told me that flight prices vary week to week and day to day. Even the time of day matters when you book. (Her words not mine). That being said, have you looked at the prices day-to-day? If theyíre staying constant and if thereís low availability (ie sox seats left) then Iíd book sooner than later. Sorry itís so costly.
Congrats Runner!

My tribunal is a week from today. Got. To. Keep. it. Together. The Naltrexone is helping. I've been doing a little secret water drinking but nothing like I was doing last week before/after the last tribunal. I haven't seen the external psychiatrist yet but the nurse who was looking after me the other day said he thinks I can get a good report from them. He thinks I should say whatever to get out and work with the psychotherapist in the community. With the Naltrexone, drinking gallons doesn't come very naturally. I chug like four or five small cups and it's just meh not really bothered.

My parents just visited so that was nice. They brought my old concise French dictionary and a 2024 diary.

The nurse weighed me and it was pretty high. I haven't been drinking a lot but I guess I'm filling up on carbs and retaining water. But I've definitely gained a lot of fat. Starting a diet. I need to be skinny by court in March anyway because I want to buy a new outfit for it.

Checking in to commit to 24 more hours poison free. A little stressed today so going to use my lunch break to get in a session on the Peloton and a quick meditation before heading back to work.

Take care all!
