Morning, everybody. Feeling very anxious about court on Wednesday. I could be discharged tomorrow. I know drinking tomorrow is the last thing I should do. I'm sure I won't. It'll be four weeks tomorrow. I dunno if I'm even in a fit state mentally to be discharged, but maybe I'm in a bad way because of court and when I get that out of the way I'll feel better.

Quit day 89 ODAAT

FF, after 4 weeks you are going to be making your own choice whether you drink or not once you are released. Start planning now on staying quit.

Morning all

hope court goes ok FF. I'm glad you are ok after yesterday. 4 weeks is brilliant - I hope you don't go back to drinking. What lies there?

Day 43. home and had lovely sleep in my own bed. Had a good weekend with my friend. I like to go to places with different cultures, religions and ways of life. WFH today then in work 3 days. Then I have to go to London on Thursday night for visa appointment.(hopefully they will agree it) I just want a queit weekend at home but at least I'll be back Friday night. It is so much easier to do EVERYTHING without a hangover. No way do I ever want to go back to that life.

Happy Monday morning everyone. I have coffee brewing. I have my toolbox together. No booze in the house, new route to drive home that doesn’t go near a liquor store too. If anyone asks why I’m not drinking, the answer is “I’m just not drinking right now.” Honestly, my friends really don’t care if I drink or not, and at this point, I’ve drank enough. My doc knows I want to quit, and he says it’s a good idea too. So here goes. 😊

Thanks Dog, Dee, RAL.

Good luck, sobertoday.

Lookibg forward to my mid morning coffee. Just got smokes and a vape from the shop order.

We're having cheesecake for dessert today so that'll be nice.

Yay, Runner! So happy for you

You know what my AV just told me, though? 'I guess you can't quit today since it's Runner's day. Better wait 'til tomorrow'. WTF?

Another good day

Hi all,
Thanks Peke, Venus, Samwitch, Anna, and everyone on the thread. It will be another sober day, a good day through our support for each other. Wishing you all a fine day from California, no matter what it will be better today (and tomorrow!) as long as we stay sober.

🙂

Awesome Runner. 1 year of all the holidays, special occasions, family, work, all of it sober. I kept track of your daily commitment time done. Keeping me on track with my daly goal of sober living. Wonderful how a simple act of posting your time helped me so much,

Sober, stay close to SR. If an urge gets too big to handle alone reach out here or at home for help.

FF could it be that when you are in lockdown, that one of the things you can control when others are in control of you, is you water drinking. You may be acting out to seek power when others are intent of taking your power away with captivity. It is something like that for me.

It twerks if you twerk it
Feeling productive as today unfolds. That is the power not waking up as hungover human wreckage.
Be safe, be sober today

Sneaky AV is it not. One tool is play the tape through. What does that first drink set in motion? Bad behavior, isolation, being unavailable to loved ones, withdraw into yourself and all the hurt drinking will do. Then keep playing the tape where you get the rewards of sobriety. Imaging your better self wanting to be free and helpful. All the goals you can accomplish with a clear mind and healthy body. The sky's the limit Groove

We all have a no fault illness with unwarranted shame. Our only responsibility now is to treat our illness. Sometimes it takes a while for the treatments to take hold. There is no shame in that too.
