Sorry, I am quiet, just have a lot going on. However, I took time out of a crazy day to redo my front garden. Because self-care is paramount, especially when we are stressed.

Well, CSI Vegas goes back many years, so you will certainly have a lot to watch, but it might be a bit dated.

If you haven't watched City On a Hill, you are in for a treat. Kevin Bacon doing a TV show alongside Jill Hennessy from Law&Order = magic.

Yay Red!! Congratulations on 70 plus days. Wish I could get that far.

I did a total body workout class. Husband is finished his charts. We’re going for a hike now.

My jaw is sore. (It’s broken from when I was cycling and got hit by the truck). Really hope that insurance will pay for it.
I hit spoiler accidentally. Not sure what I did!

I thought it was day 4 but no, day 5. Nice! Last drink and extra ativan was Thurs, before my first NA meeting.

Feeling pretty good. Looking forward to the day ahead. Bit of exercise, meditation, housework, read a bit. Maybe do a zoom meeting.

Annoying to already be awake at 2:30am, but I just get sick of being up and want to take my night meds really early and drift off.

Well done for saying no to the drink lixie and happy anniversary. Sorry to hear about the allergic reaction. Funnily I had a similar thing a week ago with a wasp sting (having been stung many times before with no issues). Not much fun!

Fivetries it is really funny how we can land up drinking without even really making a decision. I've been reading about the way triggers work with our dopamine system (from the Dopamine Nation book and some podcasts the author has been on). The trigger causes a spike when the trigger happens to make us search out alcohol then, if we drink we then get an even bigger spike as a reward but if we don't drink then we get a dopamine crash to levels much lower than before we were triggered as a sort of 'punishment' for not drinking. It's a tough system to beat. I was triggered yesterday and really wanted a drink but told myself I would not drink until after a sauna and a long cold swim (which increases dopamine). After the dip I felt much better and had no problems walking by the 'System' (Swedish liquor store). I think I'll be doing a lot of cold swimming this month!

i tink withdrawels is going to be with me for a few days yet. still sweats and was sick yesterday and stoumach cramps and headache. just have to keep an eye and watch what i eat aswell as i had dinner and i was just in pain. least i slept so thats a good thing. see how things go today.
was realling nice to see posts and how things are going for others x love your picture and door also venuscat and hope u get less bz.
not sure what i have planned today, but i will be staying away from the drink. i may reward myself with a nice coffee or something i will see how my stoumach is today.
