My mind has been like a car that wants to get off of the road. I’m trying to bring it back to its lane every time that I have a negative throught.

that's the basis of moving on from those thoughts - the more you do it, the easier things should get

Smile I still watch SpongeBoB

Peke PTSD symptoms can be a huge challenge to manage them. I too was traumatized by my mother. My wound was just once yet it changed everything. After that damage everything I believed about love, trust, safety, family, religion was nothing more than a dirty stinking lie to me.

I use a 'stop thought' method where, if I can 'say it out loud 'STOP' with a firm tone. Or in head space "STOP", that helps. Challenge the negative thought with the qualities you like about yourself. You are a person of great worth, your courageous and your being honest. Those are some very cool attributes to have. YEA You!

How is everyone doing today? If you haven't checked in recently it would be nice see a word or two from ya

Thank you Zen. What is simple solution: stop! I will do that when I have a negative thought or insult myself mentally. I really appreciate what you wrote. And I’m incredibly sorry for what you went through.
what movie will you watch?

I hope that everyone is doing OK tonight! If anyone is struggling, I’m sending you a big hug.

Hi all! Checking in. Have just served breakfast to three lovely, elderly men here in my little B&B, and am now in the process of assembling IKEA furniture for the coffee shop. My partner has been away for six days, and when she left, downstairs was in a state of complete chaos. I have spent these days assembling furniture, getting rid of a ton of cardboard, vaccuuming and cleaning everything and when she comes home in twelve hours I am planning on lighting a bunch of candles and really surprise her. Can't wait to see her again, I don't feel whole without her.

Wish you all a great Sunday!

Happy Sunday everybody. We’re at our shared family cabin in New Hampshire, it seems like every time we come the Yankees are playing the Red Sox. Had a few urges yesterday, just had an AF beer while we were watching the game. I enjoy one of those max, would never have 8 AF beers like when I used to consume the real stuff. Anyway, I’m on the edge of my seat every time Judge is at bat, maybe he’ll hit # 61 today?!? STAY STRONG ~ JC
