❤️ Late good morning again everyone. So not like me to sleep in, but I had food poisoning for a couple of days as well as a ton of classwork to do for my Copyediting course. Thankfully, I feel better now and I can do my (very difficult) editing assignment today. Oh, fun.

A kickback Sunday today, though I did do load of laundry. I grew up with always seeing a ton of dirty clothes. My Mom had 3 kids, herself & my Dad. She also worked full time in Los Angeles at the Federal Reserve Bank. Lots of responsibilities!
But, being the 60’s, we always had a home cooked meal. She was pooped, but came home to a family. So, sometime in upper elementary school, she had each kid take care of their own laundry. Now, that was a shock to me, the “baby” of the family. 🤭
That responsibility was the first major step in growing up. Somewhere along the line, I realized it was much easier to a load of laundry , rather than wait till it became a HUGE pile in my closet! 😁 That life lesson stuck … do the chore while it’s very manageable.
Even in all those drinking years, I cleaned, did laundry, cooked and volunteered daily in our son’s classroom.But, I believe now, it was a way to fool myself that I was in control. Ha Ha … 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️.
Ok, babbled on enough ….
Time to check in for my next 24 !

Bobbi I get what you mean by being “in control”….not about having kids, but I used to work 2 jobs, 7 days a week….even holidays…I’d say “it keeps me out of trouble” but I also drank every day after work….I was on autopilot for years and burned myself out….now I don’t drink anymore, have one job where we work 4 days a week, and I’m pooped! I don’t know how anyone takes care of family, kids, etc….I have a hard enough time keeping up with myself!
