Suze, teehee! I was thinking the same thing! Typos are funny sometimes.
RAL,
I enjoyed being part of your holiday! Safe journey home.
Hope all are well. I have an appointment with my Psychiatrist today. I'm eager to find out his plan to get me off ativan. 50% down, and the next stage may be rough, we'll see.
Glad I have the support of this group!

That's a wild holiday RAL, loved tagging along 😁

Leshar, good luck with appt, sounds like awful stuff to get off.

I'm good, was actually stoked I didn't think of drinking, although it's never really been my thing, to drink over things, good or bad. It was more a routine and I think i just liked getting buzzed. But even thinking about alcohol makes me cringe now, the taste/smell/after effects just bleck 🤢

Thanks, Zura. I am now to go down to half of my current dose of ativan.
That's a good way of thinking about drinking. Glad you're staying the course!

Well this has been an interesting read. Cannibals and volcanoes 😂
My week hasn't been nearly as exciting. Just moving house. But sober and that's all that matters.

No cannibals or volcanoes here either... But moving house sure is exhausting! We are going down to the house today to clean all the rooms, the beds are being delivered later today. And my daughter is coming home this evening! Can't wait!

Hi all,
Hi Mish, all the best with your move. Moving house is indeed stressful!
I didn't sleep very well last night, no doubt due to the reduction of ativan. It's good to keep the end goal in sight though!
I'm continuing to clear out items from my basement. I might post a few things on a buy and sell site. I love watching organization shows. Not Hoarders though, the stories are too sad for me.

Pollution or car fumes maybe love?
Whatever it was, I am glad you are feeling better today. s

No gardening, unless you consider my lounge and kitchen garden areas....I have at least 50 plants waiting for this ridiculous winter snap to go away. Snow tonight, oh yes.

Hi all,
Suze, snow is forecast here too, after a balmy day yesterday where I was able to wear a tshirt and light pants. Crazy weather!

RAL, I hope you're feeling better soon. I didn't sleep well, but it's to be expected. I get to sleep but awaken in the night and find it difficult to get back to sleep. But I'm very glad not to be waking up, sweating and anxious after drinking. Tired and achy this morning but happy to awaken sober.

I tried on a dress I saw on a buy and sell site. It was very pretty. But I didn't realize it had an open back, with just ties to pull it closed. Not for me, mutton dressed as lamb! 🤣

Hope your feeling much improved RAL
Awwww Venus, I imagine you glaring at the snow melting it, Winter Be Gone 😜
I do hope all this eases for you Leshar, your being a real trooper getting through this.

Hello to everyone ☺️

I'm doing quite well thanks RAL. Had a couple of emotional days, echoes of the past, but was able to turn it around. Life is for the living in the now!!

Morning everyone Happy Sober Sunday

Glad you're ok Zura - it is difficult when the past memories arise but I find dealing with them sober allows me not to be eaten up by them.

Leshar-how's the taper going? I know what you mean about being ill. Even though I've been ill the last couple of days at least it wasn't drink induced.

Liz-hope you are getting bookings and had a great weekend with your daughter.

Suze-sorry your weather hasn't improved. Snow in April is madness I hope things improve this week.

Hope your move went smoothly Mish.

Thanks everyone. Felt awful yesterday but much improved today. Think over eating carbs etc didn't help. Scary how we used to intentionally make ourselves ill. 6 weeks for me today. Going back to doc in another 6 weeks to repeat the blood tests. I hope the liver results will be improved.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday x

Hi everyone,
RAL, well done on 6 weeks! Good that you're on the mend.
Zura, thanks. I don't know about being a trooper, but I'm invested in getting off ativan. I'm down to a quarter of the original dose. I slept better last night, but I had bad dreams. I was glad to wake up.

I'm going on a walk this afternoon with my hiking/walking group. I find it difficult to chit chat, but the human connection is good for me, I know. Great to connect with you all here too!
