PT went pretty well. They did a thing called "dry needling", which to me seems like acupuncture. It was not painless - but I think because they had to insert the needles right into my thigh - but it was tolerable. I slept pretty much pain free and am feeling pretty good today too. I have some exercises to do to try and keep the condition from returning. I'm sure it will all be a "process", but I'm happy with the initial results.

I've discovered some additional social sober groups through my sober workout group. Hiking, coffee meetups, etc. All very cool. I find I am, by far, the oldest person at these things so sometimes I feel a little out of place. I don't know why - my age doesn't seem to matter to anyone else there.

Hope everyone is having a good day

Hey Caramel, I'm good just struggling a little with seasonal depression at the moment. Need to get my running shoes on again (that always clears my depression away) but the depression just saps my energy so it's hard to get up and do it...even though I know it will fix the problem.

Happy Tuesday everyone.

A nice weekend here - nothing big, and the hip issue/treatment seems to still be working.

We do have a short vaca planned starting the end of next week. I'm looking forward to a change of scenery for a few days.

Mish - "it's hard to get up and do it", yeah I think a lot of us can relate to that; especially with the depression angle. I think you can kind of 'play the tape forward" in that regard too. It's not quite the same as playing the drinking tape forward, but sometimes it works

Went for a drive and to be around humans. Indian curry and mango icecream...costly, but yum.

Staying occupied and, yes, even just distracted are sometimes all I can accomplish too. I made it to the gym today and had PT appointment #2 - things continue to better than they were. I need to manage my expectations though; I've had this hip issue for a long time and I guess it's unrealistic to expect to go away in a week or so.

Be good ...

be gentle with yourself MITA

Starting to feel depression, worsening for long time, is more manageable

Hills drive helps

Hey guys...just checking in...guess it was my turn to test positive

I'm dog sitting again this weekend, which helps since I'm going to be missing work so at least I'm still getting paid for something; I just feel bad for being sick in someone else's house...she is aware of it and being really cool about it...I brought disposable dishes/utensils and sanitizer wipes!

I hope you get better fast too, Purps, and that your symptoms are not too bad.

Glad you are moving to the "manageable" level with the depression PJ. Personally, anxiety is the biggest ongoing issue I have although I do get bouts of depression - undoubtedly related.

I have been watching this series called Mr. Inbetween. I mention it mostly because it's an Australia based show, so I'm thinking maybe you, PJ, and Dee are familiar with it. It's pretty good - it has some funny parts along with some serious parts and some violent scenes.

Ready for the weekend here - hope everyone is well

Mr Inbetween is a great show MITA - brutal in parts, funny in others, emotional sometimes - definitely not for everyone but I binge watched every ep.

feel better soon Purps
