I still freeze up over interviews....always hated being put on the spot....I bet the practice interviews in the meantime will help your daughter ~ and a quote maybe you have already heard: "It's okay to cut toxic family members out of your life...Blood ain't thicker than peace of mind".... My journey through dementia caregiving has come to an end. My husband died earlier this month from that very cruel disease. Through it all & especially during the toughest times, I was Grateful for my Sobriety.
I was his care partner in the early years and his caregiver during the final stages. There is NO WAY I could have cared for him while drinking.
I don't know what my future holds but I'm sober and healthy, and over the years, other deep family losses taught me that time WILL help me heal.
