Good morning. It's day 3. 1am. I went to sleep at 1pm. Need to sort out my sleeping pattern. Feel refreshed after the long sleep. Going to head out for a walk later to start my day.

Diet was going Well till I binged on crisps. Fresh start today. I suppose its not the worst thing in the world having a few too many snacks in early sobriety.

I just tried to go to celebrate recovery and no one was there. I drove around the the spots I have found AA and now I know where they are. Got all showered and dressed to ride in the car for an hour lol.

I just moved to a small town back in August and don't know where things are. I also moved from a city that had meetings every half hour. Something to get used to, but I will find my place!

Hope all is well with everyone!

Haha Dee, I'll take all the welcomes going!
Shell, that sounds frustrating, but at least you know the lay of the land now.
RAL, sounds like you're still really suffering. I'm sorry.
Hello to all, and we're all progressing.
I'm taking a road trip to possibly buy a little sculpture I saw on an online buy and sell. I will have to stop looking at stuff! But I have sold quite a few items, and it's good to be better organized and purge stuff. I'd always procrastinate when drinking.

I guess I'll throw this out there, cause on some level it is effecting me. I lost two friends this week (bar friends) to health related alcohol problems. Both we in there early 60's. And another man, whom I was actually quite close to was given 3 to 6 months, 6 months ago. Now he never leaves the house as he is tired all the time since his liver had shut down. He has cirrhosis, just retired 3 years ago. I talked to his son last night, who had been drinking, and he was crying saying he didn't want to become his dad.
I bring this up because even tho these were bar friends, I knew them 20 plus years and it effects me. Part of me is like I'm glad I quit drinking i don't want to go out this way and part of me wants to use this as a reason to drink. Thanks for letting me share. I'm off to work. 49 days sober.

Darling BTG, I am so sorry. s
And I understand. But if you even dream of allowing this to mess you up at 7 weeks, I am thinking one of your friends is going to come down and smack you. ❤️
