Good night RAL, sweet dreams.

CS I really hope you choose to stay active on here today and not drink. It is SO not worth it.

Dee, your question "Since when have we..." had me in splits. Couldn't stop laughing

Thanks, Suze, Dee, RAL, Citrus for your support - luckily it's very sunny today and I took a long stroll in the fresh, cool air. That feeling has passed. I am now having a hot South Indian filter coffee with milk.

Citrus, Glad to have you back! We got this.

Hi Calmself,
You are doing so well. Stay with it and play the tape forward as they say.

Suze, the subjunctive verb/mood tense in Spanish is difficult to grasp for me, anyway. Conjugation endings change a lot, especially for irregular verbs. I think RAL's explanation is very helpful, for both languages!

Billy Bragg's rendition of Jerusalem is haunting imo.

I LOVE Billy Bragg. To the nth degree. Levi Stubbs' Tears. Sigh.
And thank you Leshar....for me, the terminology is the most difficult. It is all very new to me. s

Good morning. Had a healthy breakfast. Going to restart c25k later and go to church. Maybe an AA meeting in the afternoon.

I am happy Suze! The nice weather and windows open has done wonders for me today. And I'm feeling more optimistic than I have in a bit.

Off to bed with me. I had a really good sleep last night, that is deifnatly helping the good mood.

More tomorrow. Love to all. ❤

Thanks, Leshar.I'm

For me the biggest trigger is work nonsense and career worries. Hopefully I will get a good job soon.

Stay strong, folks. End of Day 108 for me. Good night from Seattle.

Hello everybody

Checking in. I’m not counting days now, just milestones 👍🏼

RAL I hope you’re feeling better?

Venuscat well done on the course!

Calmself, you are doing really well 👍🏼

FF, we’ll done you for getting out for a walk.

I’m on a 24 hour fast until 4pm. I cooked pancakes for the kids last night and that was a challenge! Still, the clarity of mind it gives me spurs me on, plus the rest it gives the liver!

I’m off to work soon. Have a lovely day everybody ☕️💗

Morning all

Calmself -so great you got through. We all knew you could do this. Congrats to you and I bet you wake today feeling fabulous

Citrus - I agree with Suze-you do sound happy Have a great day

FF - have a good day

Leshar- I love that song too

Suze - happy studying

Sue- I find intermittent fasting works really well for me too. Not atm in such early sobriety but once I've got a few days I don't eat till midday. I'm on verge of type 2 diabetes and it helps hugely. Also with energy, mental clarity and weight loss.

Day 3. I slept amazingly. Unbelievable. all night and my alarm woke me. Feel physically still a but under the weather but mentally ok. Last night on here really helped. I don't know if it's connection with people who understand, taking my mind of it or something else. I really feel like I'm climbing out of the rabbit hole I had fallen into.

Off to A&E now. Jr RAL has one of those VR headsets and smashed his hand on furniture last night, nut sure if broken. They call it VR to ER-quite funny if not so painful.

Anyway hope everyone has a good day xx

xx
I was pre diabetic a few years ago. Probably caused by the booze! I learned a lot about insulin resistance and started on keto back in 2020 with some success. It wasn’t until I started fasting at the beginning of last year that I really started to get results. Now it’s a way of life.

So good to hear you’re feeling so much better today. Being on here definitely helps!

Day 2 - I know it doesn't sound like much, but it's an accomplishment for me. I didn't sleep well and woke up feeling kind of flu-ey (if that makes sense). Posting for accountability and to state that I am not drinking today.
