Thats brilliant Willow! Over halfway to triple digits, Do you find the days are flying by now? I just love waking up feeling so much more refreshed and definitely less anxious in general than before.

Hi Jo well done on 309 days! That’s fantastic stuff

Britbird, I don’t know that the days feel like they’re flying by as they’re happening, but they sure do seem to be accumulating quickly! And I’m enjoying the clear head that comes with being sober

Morning Jo. I’m doing well. We have a snowstorm today so likely we’re just going to hang out at home. It doesn’t look as big as forecast. I’m really ready for spring.

I’m rereading “Under the Influence”. If any wants a better understanding of what alcohol does to your body, this is the book. It’s scary the damage alcohol does at the cellular level.

I’ve not seen that book so I will look it up. Yes I completely agree on how shocking it is when you read what alcohol does to the body!!!

Hey Guys!

Glad to see everyone still on track! Day 81 here and I’m starting to feel that around 3 months change, happened last time as well, it’s like body and mind get in perfect sync for me.

I’ve been reading a lot of philosophy lately, finding some big answers there, including many about addiction. Some of that stuff was written 2.5 thousand years ago, it’s amazing how current it still is.

Have a nice week everyone!

Mr P

Scott I’ll look that book up too, I’m an avid reader and I need something new to read.

MrP which philosopher are your reading? Or several?

Em are you ok? Haven’t heard from you for a few days, hope you’re ok

It’s only 6.30am and I’m already exhausted, I didn’t have a great sleep. I’m off to get some coffee and see if I can wake up properly.

Hi Guys, all good here - been really busy and exercising lots - I get so tired I can't type. I just look forward to going to bed! Hope everyone's going well it certainly sounds like it.

Mr. P and Willow - I just finished 'Masters of Greek thought' which was quite a long book about the 3 greats - Socrates, Plato & Aristotle - can highly recommend it. Now I'm wading through 'A history of Western philosophy' by Russell - heavy stuff, but good. Will take weeks. I found the 5 meditations by Marcus Aurelius to be sound advice, but I was disappointed in Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics, which I feel can be summed up in its entirety as 'Moderation in all things'

I really like Greek philosophy, but it takes up so much of my bandwidth that I can't really do anything else!

Sleep tight all.

‘Em - that’s some heavy reading. I’ll check into the Masters of Greek thought though. That sounds interesting.
