We had a couple of inches of snow yesterday. It happened during the afternoon/evening commute, which made it seem worse that it actually was. Grateful that I live in an apartment building so I don't have to worry about snow removal!

Hope everyone has a happy and healthy 2022!

FBL, how is your Corolla in the Wisconsin snow? My 17 year old Camry is a trooper in the snow. I hope my newer one is also.

Covid has hit two of my coworker managers. We are running the store with two opening managers, and two closing managers. We normally have six or seven managers working throughout the course of the day. The Covid necklace keeps tightening around me.

Best wishes all for 2022. I feel next year will bring a different energy to all. Hopefully...

SG, the old Carolla is a trooper! Best car I've ever owned. Sorry things are stressful for you at work. Just remember, this too shall pass (though it may be later, rather than sooner!).

This crazy year is finally coming to an end. Naturally, we are ending the year with the temps near 60 degrees.

Courage, did the store by you open? I can't find any info.

My company made a ridiculous decision to attempt to open a store 95 miles away from all the rest of the regional stores around me. Shockingly, they can't find anyone whom wants to move towards the middle of the state for a retail job, or spend four hours a day commuting. I guess smarter minds than mine are making these decisions. The last couple of new stores in my region have not panned out well due to poor locations, either too far from population centers or, in the case of another city store, no parking and not very walkable.

Happy New Year's to all the POSTers!

Glad to hear you both have reliable cars, FBL & sg. We haven't seen snow in NYC yet.

sg, your store opened here -- you can find reviews on Yelp, it's luv luv luv. I haven't made it in because of this and that -- it's not in my routine direction. What I'm really hoping is that it brings people to the neighborhood. We've had a lot of closures including a big-box store, and we need the foot traffic.

I'm off to sunny Mexico in 2 days. Assuming my flight leaves, but at least we don't have weather to worry about.

Happy new year!

Safe travels, Courage.

There's a major winter storm headed our way later today. Looks like the worst of it will be just to our south. I've seen anywhere from 2-8 inches of snow predicted for our neck of the woods. One thing's for certain, it will be MUCH colder tomorrow (windchills below zero).

Have a Happy New Year, all!

Ha! No disc golf, but my FB recovery group threw a little impromptu Zoom party for me and a couple of others celebrating sober anniversaries yesterday. Lots of love and laughter to share.

How is Mexico Courage? Hopefully warm and sunny.

Finally came down with the 'Vid, though fortunately, it is currently expressing itself as a cold and nothing worse

Take care all!

^^^ get well soon, sg -- you'll have like quadruple immunity

FBL, nice avatar, you look fabulous!

Mexico was wonderfully hot -- it cooked my fatigue right out of me. I've been more productive in the 2 days since I got back than I'd been in 2 months. I think I've reached the hammock stage of life

Glad you had a great time baking in the sun Courage! Sounds wonderful right about now as I am looking at 9 degrees outside.

Day six of Covid. Still have a cough, some congestion and extreme fatigue. Took an antigen test yesterday and I am still positive. My twenty year old son, whom only received the first two shots, is now using an at home nebulizer multiple times a day for his breathing issues. I think a lot of people have downplayed this variant as no big deal. Believe me, it's not. It is churning through my staff, and for every person that comes back to work, another goes out sick.

Take care everyone!

Haha, yes still here FBL!

How is the current book project coming along?

Courage, how are your classes this semester? Back to in class teaching? Most universities around me went two weeks virtual while the pandemic was raging, but have gone back to in person now.

Best wishes all!
