Day 50 today! I have no idea how long it's been since I've been here, but "here" feels right :-)
I started working on some resolutions for 2020, which is amusing, since the ONLY resolution I ever achieved was to stop putting sweetener in my coffee some 15 years ago! ☕
After searching for some new ideas, I found one that I really like: Try 1 thing new each month, such as a movie you normally wouldn't think of watching or read a book not in your favorite genre. I love movies and books on history, biographies, true stories and avoid "fantasy" stuff. The first thing I thought of reading/watching was "The Lord of the Rings", but I'm not convinced yet. Have to see what I come up with.
Of course, sobriety is #1 in the "physical" category as well as lose weight, eat healthy and exercise. I wanted to give myself some time to really think these out instead of waiting until NYE and just pulling ideas out of the air.
I do wish the best for everyone here. Since I don't put everything out there, I would guess many are the same and have struggles outside of drinking. All I know is drinking does not make anything better for me so I commit to another 24 hours of sobriety. ❤️🤗❤️

Day 17 draws to a close and I’d like another 24 hours of freedom from the madness please 😌
Woke up at 7 am, made myself stay in bed because it’s Sunday and I deserve a rest… Read for a while and fell asleep again until 10 ☺️
Grateful for my sobriety. Coffee. A roof over my head. The freedom of having a car again and being safe to drive it. My AA meeting tonight. The food I’ve eaten today. Walking in to a warm house on a cold evening. And so much more.
My life isn’t perfect, I don’t have everything I want. But right here, right now, I’ve got everything I need in this moment. It’s a work in progress and I can’t undo a lifetimes worth of bad decisions in a day.
But today I didn’t drink, so it’s been a good day…

200 days Willow, ahhhh … that’s gotta feel so good inside my friend! 200 days … doing this sober path … ODAAT … 😍
