I'm being too emo again. Probably isn't spiritually-fit to be this emo.

Its natural to be a little apprehensive about things like interviews.
Best of luck again

Day 128. Interview in 27 minutes. So nervous. Now the interview is in 21 minutes. I've been zoning out trying to come up with more stuff to write for 6 minutes. I moved the bird's water dish to higher ground to decrease the chance of poop getting into it. I still can't believe people read this stuff and think I'm not on something.

I'm a bit late so hopefully your phone interview went well.
I have no idea why you keep putting yourself down! I for one think you are an amazing person doing amazingly well at what you are doing.

Well, I think I got the job. I guess I was using cognitive distortions again to worsen the situation. Just have to get the background check e-mail today or Monday, then when that clears I start. As a bonus my legs won't be swollen and messed up from liver disease like the last 2 jobs I had.

Is it sad that I'm celebrating getting a low-end job? That's how crap I've let my life get. At least I got another bird so the other bird has a friend. I am playing piano music for them because it supposedly helps their anxiety. There is no piano playing emoji, so the violin will have to suffice.

Its a major step in getting a post addiction life together - definitely worth a celebration.
Not the end of the journey tho - there will be bigger and better things

Dee is 100% right, Thrill. Getting back out there after what we've been through is rougher than most people know. We all understand.

Day 129. The two baby birds are still getting used to the cage. They are sitting on the same perch but not interacting yet. Just waiting for my background check to clear before I schedule my work orientation.

Day 130. The birds have become really active and happy today. A pet peeve of mine is when people ask you where you work as "small talk". If it's rude to ask how much money someone makes, why isn't it also rude to ask where they work? I want to wear a sign around my neck that says "don't ask me where I work, mind your own business f you". I thought I'd be long dead by now anyways, wasn't really concentrating on my career.

I think people ask about work because they're interested really, not because they want to interrogate you.
You can be creative with your responses - flipping burgers can be 'working in the hospitality industry' etc

If they knew how worthless my brain was they'd understand why I'm not thriving in the business world.

Day 131. I wish I could erase this page of posts. I can't even use being intoxicated as an excuse because I was not. I start work on Thursday. I want the birds to go to a good school district so I need to start earning some cash.
