One Year And Under Club Part 69
Intro 9 months 3 days is awesome, how are you doing?
Dickensen, 202 is a lovely number too! You're doing great!
Leadhatter ( I love trying to figure how folks come up with some of these SR names! Yours is great) I too am a Brit an English transplant to Scotland, but I spend half my time in Spain where I am now. Mags is a Brit too. You are nearly 2 weeks in, that's great.
Good to see you FK, hope all is going well with the move.
Backtogood, it's amazing how quickly those baby steps Mags mentions, become weeks and then months.
I love to hear more about the Undies here, a bit about where you live, what you do, etc. Anything you feel comfortable sharing helps me and the others here to know you better and perhaps be more specific in support.
Have a great Sober Day my friends.

Had dinner w the hubby last night
I’m 14 days in, and my husband (who I love very much) and I aren’t in the best place. But, he organized a night for just the two of us to spend some quality time together. We had the best evening. Had dinner, talked, laughed. It was one of the first times I didn’t feel like I needed to prioritize alcohol to have a “fun” evening. Our evening was fun on its own, and I feel these bonus points for actually remembering all our conversations and waking up knowing I didn’t disappoint either of us w my actions. We’re taking the kids Halloween shopping today - which should be a lot of fun.
purpl- thank you for the thread link!
tootls- I’m a 41 year old female from the US (Texas).
thank you all for sharing yourselves and your thoughts, I’ve read through them all this morning and as always - I’m very grateful to be part of this group. I hope everyone has a great day.

Welcome Polaroid and congrats on 2 weeks. I'm happy you had a lovely time with hubby and can begin to see you can have fun without drink. I too am lucky to have a supportive hubby who is immensely proud now of who I have become in sobriety. I was 49 when I finally loathed what I had become enough to quit drinking. I'm 57 now and proof that anyone can do it.

Great to see you
Great to read your words and see your presence here in the “undies” thread Polaroid.
And greetings to everyone for continued sobriety.
I’m going into my first day at a new office. And I’m elated to start a new job sober! I lost a job that I loved because of my drinking. I now have a second chance!
Wishing everyone else the best for experiences of sober joy!

I’m gonna try to keep up with this thread
I’m happy two weeks sober here. I think being sober is making me more rational. I’ve been getting chest pains off and on when I’m stressed or anxious or exercising etc so it may be angina or another heart problem. I’m not happy to have such a condition at 42 but I need to face facts.
im gonna call the doctor tomorrow and get an appointment. All my ecgs seem to come back ok. My resting pulse is high though and has been for years so I’ve had a bunch of ecgs over the years but just because it doesn’t show on a ecgs doesn’t mean I do t have some heart issues. I’ll call the doctor tomorrow.
I have high blood pressure but it’s getting tested tomorrow and I’m hoping because I’ve been sober a fortnight it will be down. Maybe it will take longer idk. I’m also overweight which won’t help my heart. I do exercise daily and eat as healthy as possible so I’m doing my best. Staying sober is logical to me. In addition to hoping my blood pressure will be down I’m hoping as I get weighed tomorrow I will have shed some pounds. I’ll update you tomorrow on the blood pressure and weight.
I’ll try to check in daily from now on but I’ve forgotten these last few days. LH
