Abcowboy, your poem is beautiful, thank you so much for sharing xxx
It was 4 years ago today that I first stumbled upon this site. I was 5 months sober at the time and I was so desperate to start drinking wine I remember pacing around my home, wondering how I was going to get through one more moment sober. In desperation I googled '5 months sober' to see if anyone had any tips/advice or could relate to how I was feeling and found myself reading thread after thread on this site. Thanks to SR, I got through that next moment sober and the one after that and all those moments just kept adding up for the next 4 years!! So grateful to this site and everyone here. Thank you!
24 more please xxx

Congratulations to our Milestoners today!! That's over 20 Years of Sobriety
Bruce - I LOVE your poem! Thank you for writing it and posting it!
24 more for me please. Got through today with only a few tears. Mostly just grateful that so many wonderful people passed through my life. I reached out to my remaining family through FaceTime & text and it felt good to connect.
Wishing everyone a peaceful & sober day or night with love.....xxxx

[Quote from Bandicoot: [color=#000000]24 more for me please & Congratulations to everyone celebrating a Milestone!
Happy Easter to those who celebrate it It has always been an important holiday/celebration/family get together time in my family but so many of my beloved family members are now gone. This year is a sad remembrance of happier times and I'm very down. My church is offering online & in person services but I don't feel like attending either one. I'll wake up early tomorrow morning & take my dog on a long hike in one of our beautiful state parks. Hope a glorious sunrise & Mother Nature will cheer me up.
Wishing everyone a peaceful & sober day or night with love.....xxxx]

This morning was warm & sunny and we enjoyed a long hike. We had a little dust up with some overly excited dogs but thankfully everyone came out unscathed.

I too found SR through googling. My question was - Do I have a drinking problem?
