I don't know about that Hope honey.....the new strain is supposedly less deadly...so that's good.
And yes....we know so many people who have had this.
But they survived.....almost everyone I know survived.

And no one ever helped me move. Like never.

I'm not trying to scare anyone but I think it's too early to tell.
Initial reports from South Africa suggested theirs could be more deadly...but I haven't read any 2021 news updates.

The new strain from UK is here in Toronto already. Canadians are still traveling internationally apparently. Even our own politicians are traveling for vacation. Several have had to resign. The arrogance and ignorance is astonishing.

The entire province of Ontario is on full lockdown for a least a month. Still record numbers of infections daily. The worst is yet to come.

The best show on TV is actually the news channels and the protagonist Donald Trump. You couldn't write this ****

I missed you guys today! It would be so awesome if Venus and Hope showed up to help move! I really don't need much help, I have all these adult kids. But friends, now I do need those!!
I totally agree about the news. It is astonishing. No matter what your politics are.
My grandson thinks it's the most boring thing ever. I was watching in my room with my window open and he popped his head up from outside and said, "This just in! The news is boring!"
He makes me laugh. I'll miss living with him, but he can come see me when the virus is over. I need a vaccine!!!
I have had a very busy day and gotten a lot done and feel pretty good. Yay! It's awful to be so tired.
TC, I hope you had a great day teaching!
Big hugs to all!

You sound good Karen. What day do you move in? Speaking of the vaccine. I hope you get one soon. I have a friend in another state that gets her second dose next week. Hoping they speed it up for the people that want them. I'm kind of glued to the news too tonight.
Absolutely boring day here guys. I was just really tired when I got up this morning. I had crazy dreams last night! Crazy. I dreamed that I did something really horrible to someone at this big gathering that wasn't wearing a mask. I had all these cops looking for me but they couldn't find me because I was hiding on top of this tent and wearing a mask. Bizarre. Not sure what I did but hubby thinks I must have murdered someone to have that many cops after me.
TC- I definitely hear you on the enthusiasm thing. I haven't had much in the past couple of days. I think it's just the time of year.
Coz- hoping work is going well for you and of course keep us updated on the bridge building. I know it will be a beauty.
Willow- how are you?! We miss you!
Have a good night all.
Hope

I'm running out of stuff to watch on Netflix believe it or not. I want to watch Peaky Blinders about Irish gangsters after world War I but the accents and vocabulary are hard to follow. I do not enjoy having to use subtitles. Certainly makes the show less watchable when you can't take your eyes off the screen.

I started a new anti-depressant a few weeks ago. Wellbutrin. It's different than the more common SSRI. It's oddly having a strange effect. I feel more anxious, low mood. I know it takes 6-8 weeks to take proper effect but I don't know why I'm feeling more depressed than normal....

Keep an eye on that WL.
I remember that my wife did not do well on Wellbutrin. She had to get off of it.
I can’t recall the exact side effects. I’d have to ask her.

Be well sober friends!

Good luck with your move Karen! It's always hard for me to feel at home in a new place, but hopefully you get settled in quickly.

I know what you mean about running out of things to watch on netflix WL. I like horror movies and got into watching more since halloween, but I've picked a few stinkers and hate investing time in a terrible movie. I want to watch the remake of the stand but I'm not going to subscribe to cbs streaming to get it. There's some entertaining reality shows though. We "tape" (dvr) cruise ship killers and it is strangely addicting to watch. "I am a killer" on netflix was pretty engrossing too. On the other end of the spectrum I watch a lot of science shows on pbs or documentaries, which usually makes my wife groan. :-)

I had some extra seedlings this year and not enough room in my garden so they became unintended patio tomatoes. I just put the plants in larger pots and they did pretty well. The important thing is to have enough soil so the pot doesn't dry out. I don't know what varieties of tomatoes do well hanging upside down though I've seen some at a nursery before.

I have to say though that jalapenos in pots did great. I have one that I've taken one inside for the winter- the same plant has given me jalapenos two years in a row. With my short growing season, they ripen a lot faster too. I'll get red peppers in the pot, while the ones in my garden are still green.

My meyer lemon tree is flowering ike crazy in the kitchen nmd!!!
I will take a pic for you.

I love our gardening bent....it is wonderfu to grow things.

I am watching The Stand.....but it isn't a remake as such, it is pretty different....and a series....and whoopi is BRILLIANT as the 106-yr-old lady.
Although it is about a pandemic, so there's that....they had no idea this was going to happen when they were making the show.

Started watching Yellowstone about Montana ranchers versus developers versus band casino owners. It is the modern equivalent of ‘Dynasty’ or ‘Dallas’ with the rancher’s daughter being the powerful JR Ewing type.
Good if that’s your thing.
Interesting, but not something I’ll seek out.

Hope your day goes well!
