Good morning everyone. 7:38am here in Indiana. For the past couple of weeks I've just been feeling down. I ran through the list of things in my head. 1. I can't exercise right now. 2. Frustrated about having had surgery and 3 weeks of consistent, although slowly subsiding pain. 3. Shorter days, cold weather, little sunlight. 4. Busy season at work and constantly feeling behind. 5. Trying to still be a good dad, help my kids with their activities. 6. Help my wife run her small business. 7. Sobriety...although great when you're not numbing your feelings you actually have to feel them.
All together I think it's perfectly understandable that I'm feeling the stress. Silver lining time....it was not intentional that I didn't even talk about drinking or sobriety until number 7! How many years did I use that as a crutch for addressing everything else until it became an overwhelming #1? So I'm grateful for that today. I'm also grateful that even though 1-6 are stressful and bumming me out...I'm here at work, healthy, clear headed, family that loves me, and my success and happiness is 100% up to me.
I think I'll choose another 24 and know that anything I'm dealing with now is better than when I had my last drink 4 months ago.

. Though didn’t Darin/Darren spell his last name with a “ph” ??I also wanted to have a bedroom like the one in the bottle of “I Dream Of Jeannie”.
