Had an exhausting day at the hospital yesterday. Docs are obviously more concerned with the liver Mets than the lung ones.
I have a few options, one being chemo then surgery. Chemo will be harsh and I’ll definitely lose my hair this time . That would never be a deciding factor but obviously it’s not ideal (my whole situation is less than ideal though haha!!) . I had a chemo called folfox last time and it doesn’t cause hair loss- just some thinning which I actually never experienced.
Second option would be radiation then surgery.. and finally the third option is surgery first before chemo/ radiation. This would be my first choice but This is the least favourable with the medical team and offers the worst prognosis . I just figured it might be a kinder treatment regime but I’m not silly and need to take the experts advice.
Its all a bit more complicated as I had a bowel resection then reversal when I was first diagnosed 2 years ago. They thought they’d caught it all.
Anyway I have to let them know ASAP. Just thought I’d update you as I promised.

I appreciate the continued prayers, messages and well wishes. They mean a lot to me xx

8.45pm Perth
More prayers and Love .

Lots of love to you Nic ❤️ xxx

My brother and his family have joined us on our holiday by the seaside and it is brilliant. We spend every day on the beach and every evening watching shark movies. We've watched Jaws 1 -3 and this evening we watched an Australian film called The Reef. It was fantastic and based on a true story which made it even more thrilling. I think the weather is changing here tomorrow but we have been so blessed with days and days of sunshine and feel very lucky. You never know what the British summer is going to serve up so 5 consecutive sunny days on the beach is fantastic. It's been so lovely being on holiday with my brother. Even though there's 4 adults, 7 kids and 2 dogs and we're all sleeping in sleeping bags and there's sand everywhere and stroppy teenagers taking it in turns to get angry with the younger kids .... It's absolutely brilliant. I'm loving every moment. I don't think I'd be coping with everything so well if I was drinking/hungover but being sober, everything is a breeze. Love to everyone and 24 more for me please xxxx

Just a quick one as I’m at work.
ive decided on 6 weeks radiation- then they’ll look at surgery and chemo bleughh

There may be targeted therapies available to me too which are other options if this treatment doesn’t work for me.. it will be a tough road but I reckon I’ve got this !!

i was silly enough to google survival rates with Mets to liver (nevermind the lung ones) and apparently it’s only 15% of people will see 5 years.. I call BS on that so I will do anything available to give me a fighting chance.

ive booked a psych appointment on Monday too- I reckon I need all the support I can get to keep me in a positive frame of mind but now my decision has been made I feel empowered and determined to stick around to see my boys settled x
