I have lost 3 patients this week to COVID 19–-two of them under 45 years old. My goodness!! It’s difficult enough with people passing from other issues, but this one is frustrating! I love what I do, but this is so difficult!!

Thank you, PK. After 30 years of doing this, I need to find a healthier way of dealing with it. The good outcomes far outweigh the bad, but I have a lot of trouble with these cases that are beyond logic

Thank you for caring so much for the collective “us”. ❤️❤️ I don’t know exactly how to help. I do know though, coming here to share is a great resource. Perhaps your fellows in the Health Field have Forums online where you talk to someone who “gets it”. I mean that’s one of the blessing of SR ... sharing the real us ...warts and all ... with fellows who “get it”.

We were 106 today .... that’s pretty darn 🥵 HOT!!

I’m checking in for my next 24 .....

—- actually I went out to pick up my grocery order and drove through In ‘n Out. It was too hot to BBQ.

I just want to make a little dent in the discomfort of people—and for the most part— my Higher Power has blessed me enough to use me in some small way to show His love. But nursing is sometimes just so hard and discouraging. We nurses often cry among ourselves but never let anyone see our emotions. We take every poor outcome personally. 99% of the time it is so rewarding, but then there are times like this .

I want to give you - and other nurses and medical staff like physios, carers etc - my personal thanks for what you do, Ishallnotwant - not only now in times of COVID anf the trauma that brings, but always.

Please remember to take care of yourself too - and your recovery.
Caregivers need love too
