Wow, time for bed!
I left for work at 6 this morning, I’ve driven over 300 miles from Ilkeston to Shropshire, then to Preston in Lancashire, then to Ashbourne, then back to Ilkeston. Fixed 5 different machines and got given a bag of freshly picked lettuce and rocket from a cottage garden at the last job!
Worked 14 hours, grabbed supper and made sandwiches for tomorrow, showered and bed... I had to go to the shop on the way home and I won’t lie, all the way back the voices were telling me that I was going to grab a bottle of something strong to wash my food down with.. Been a long day, you deserve it, etc etc.
I had a bit of a word with myself about that, and how I’d feel afterwards.
Got to my local shop and I’d completely forgotten about drinking, bought my supper and came away. So grateful to have another day of sobriety under my belt, knowing that I’ve done good...
I’m beyond tired but ok. The empty house isn’t so nice tonight, but it’s ok. Not happy, not sad, just here and doing my best.
24 more hours of sobriety would be very nice, and it’s Friday tomorrow.
