24 Hour Recovery Connections Part 491
Good morning everyone.
here for 24 more glorious hours of freedom.
Speaking of freedom, today is a very special day for me. First, it marks my 38 months of sobriety which I feel extremely blessed about.
But even more close to my heart today is the fact that this day represents and will forever be remembered as the day my unhappy living situation/marriage came to an end. While the divorce is not final, he does move out today and into his new home. He didn’t bother to get anyone to help him move his furniture so I volunteered to help him. It’s just a bedroom set that needs to come down the stairs.
The kids took the news really well when we told them on Sunday. I think they will go through more emotions as it sets in and they get used to the custody schedule. I am trying not to feel like I got the short end of the stick and I hate when I compare myself to others. But they are so excited to have a new house to explore. It’s all they talk about and they want to be there all the time. I know the excitement will wear off but it’s hard to listen to and to feel like I am still dealing with tantrums and fighting while they are too excited to do any of that when they are over there.
I know that excitement will fade.
He and I were actually on very good terms on Sunday when we told them until the end of the day when he baited me, as always, into an argument. He left cursing and storming off and called me names. And it reminded me of why I made this decision.
Anyway, it is a day of relief and bliss and sadness and every emotion you can think of. The custody schedule starts today and they will sleep with him the next two nights. It will be a strange evening for me and an even more strange 4th of July.
I already have a breathwork session scheduled for after work tomorrow followed by a house cleansing ceremony with sage and orange peels.
Time to move on, erase the past and grow prosperous and healthy in this new beginning I have been blessed with.
Lots of love to all of you and Suze, I do hope you are feeling much better.

Sometimes, like with the last update, we get no warning.
We are volunteer workers, not employees...we're way down the hierarchy
many congratulations to all committing to recovery today and to those celebrating milestones.

In for 24 hours of clean time and sobriety at 0630. ODAAT
Great posts! Holiday weekend. Smoothies and Diet drinks in order.
No need to go to the grocery store. Part of the plan living sober.
Very hot. Very beautiful. I hope some peace comes to Milwaukee.

I'm in for another 24 sober hours!! Had a few rough moments last night, but deep breathing and playing it forward helped, along with sleeping in. Feel much better this morning.
Have a terrific Friday my friends! Much love to all.
I will not drink today... 8:00 a.m. in very hot Illinois...
