Emails came back this evening thankfully-now I just have to get through them! Got to visit a customer in a Hospital Lab today too, my first non shopping trip out for me in 6 weeks at this stage.

Thanks, I'm just back from the Hospital there, it went fine. I did see a good few groups of young people hanging out in the streets and there seems to be more traffic about too, Hmmm.....doesn't bode well for the restrictions being lifted here on Friday now.

I was planting my front garden earlier, and everyone is everywhere. No one is waiting till Friday. And no one is wearing masks. At all. Colour me confused.

Same in Ontario, Canada on the weekend. Nice weather. Ignoring all isolation and distancing laws and/or advice from medical health professionals. And of course our kids are asking why they can’t do what others are getting to do. Try explaining this to a seven year old for example :S

Georgians are doing the same. Very little social distancing, lots of crowds and few masks. It's really scary. My sobriety counter says I have skipped 92 drinks and saved almost 100 dollars. That's a great feeling! I wonder how many calories that is? I know it's a lot of poison that my poor body was having to deal with.
So glad to see the newcomers here. Let us know how it's going! It helps to post, and it helps to read, too.
Venus, you are a marvelous tenant, obviously. First, putting up with all the restoration crews and now cleaning the basement. I hope you get some 'you' time soon.

It went a bit crazy here on Tuesday when we went into level 3 lockdown, everyone went crazy and bought takeaways, cars lined up for hours to get McDonald's and where you went to the door to pick your food up there was no social distancing. We are still in lockdown but opened up the economy but with great restrictions. Many people not listening..

Morning all,
we seem to be on the way out of this.....I'm guessing that there will be new outbreaks for quite a while yet. But....we really need to get people's businesses and jobs restarted again.
Last couple of days haven't really been feeling the joys of sober much. Its grey and cold and I just work the days, evenings netflix and play on the laptop making parts for a 3d printer. This is work I simply cannot do while drinking. Just can't string the line of thoughts together in a long enough line to produce anything drunk.
Trouble is I've often used drinking as a way of doing really long repetitive manual work tho. Another bad habit to somehow try and unlearn.
Ok...last day of the month. Welcome to late joiners....on we go. I guess we get shifted over to the daily threads sometime soon. All best everybody.later

Soda love.....getting through every day sober and accomplishing some stuff that we are proud of is kind of huge right now. I think we all need extra pats on the back.

Feeling good....that is up in the air atm, but maybe with a little sunshine we will be happy. I planted my front garden today....it is soaking wet now and I hope it survives, but it still feels good.
It is so so pretty.
If it stops raining I will take a photo.

Did we really make the news in the US about the disgusting consumption of takeaways?!

I think the lockdown conditions in NZ have been much stricter than in Aus. No wonder they're happy to be let out at last....

Yea they are definitely stricter than OZ but we were allowed out but not to go far. We went for hard and fast approach whereas OZ went for slower longer approach.
The message is still to stay home, no socialising still, its just to kick start the economy..

Think you guys over there might have got it right Red......many ppl here seriously wondering if the vast expenditure, debt and disruption has been really justified. But we seem to be over the worst for the moment.
