Thanks, Dee!

Hey, 13th! Proud of your progress. I hope your health issues are becoming a thing of the past. I pray that one day you can take the plunge and just go all in. I believe that is the only way you will find the peace that seems to elude you.

Hey, goat and purple and everyone else!

Have a great day!

venuscat 03-10-2020 07:02 AM

Thank you Dee. :) s

I always have butterfly plants Purps....I adore them. :)

13th love.....I do not believe your idea can work. And I do not think you have to want to stop completely in order to do this.

Detox. 7 days. And your life will change. You will WANT sobriety.
What do you have to lose?
Please think about it, with so much love. s ❤️

HI Bobbie love. :)
How is Nathan doing? s xx ❤️

And hello dear BBG. :) s xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ❤️

Bobbieka 03-10-2020 08:50 AM

Nathan has 41 days of sobriety today. Thanks for asking. Overall he's doing well. We still need to find him a mental healthcare professional. And a job.

venuscat 03-10-2020 08:56 AM

:) How wonderful. ❤️

Great news about Nathan Bobbie. So glad to hear that!

PhoenixJ 03-10-2020 09:47 AM

Good to read your post 13th.

Glad there is some peace in your home B.

Quoting Dee as the quote option isn't there: "I wish you well 13th - the only advice I can give you is every day you drink you'll never get back.

Start seriously redressing that balance, man ...
"

Truer words are rarely spoken. I agree. It remains a slog but something has to give and that is my willingness to embrace sobriety. I've found being completely sober during the bulk of the day freeing. I just need to expand that to entire days.

You are almost certainly correct. I have to play this out though. It's a big if, but if I can keep up the progress and momentum I do think that full sobriety will be a choice gladly made.

Glad to hear Nathan is doing well, Bobbie.

Hey bbg, PJ, and all.

venuscat 03-10-2020 11:08 AM

Well.....lean in dear 13th.....let us support you here. s
My opinion is only that.....I can't know someone else's heart and soul.....and I hear you....so let's do this together. All the way. s

Cant sleep for some strange reason...

Hey, class :)

Bobbieka 03-11-2020 06:32 AM

So, Devon (my youngest) has strep. Nathan woke up with fever and sore throat, so guessing he does too. My husband is in another state and says he is sick. I'm just going to avoid my family for a while.

I hope you all have a great day!

venuscat 03-11-2020 06:43 AM

I am mystified why strep is so contagious here.....it is not in Australia.
I know it's all down to how quickly you start on antibiotics. I guess we have easier access to docs in Aus. You wake up with a sore throat, you go directly to the doctor. So then it isn't contagious after 24 hours on antibiotics.

Sorry. This upsets me. s

Nick has strep, getting over it with very strong antibiotics. Thankful that I didn't get it as he was sick for about 5 days before going to the doc.

Hoping that Devon (awesome name) and Nathan and your husband go get meds quick smart. And I hope they all feel better......strep is just terrible. s xx ❤️

Bobbieka 03-11-2020 07:25 AM

Well, Devon teaches at a preschool. She catches everything. Got antibiotics yesterday. My husband is a guy, so he will probably not go to a doctor but come home and lay in bed for 3 weeks with the man flu. (btw, when he had his heart attack he was back to work in a week) Nathan has no insurance coverage. I will probably give him some of Devon's antibiotics. All will be good.

venuscat 03-11-2020 07:32 AM

Not sure if you have Kroger and the LIttle Clinic anywhere nearby, but they are very reasonable if need be....$100 for a visit without insurance. That's not too bad compared to other places. s xx

Your family's lucky to have you Bobbie ~ Hope everyone feels better soon ~ (You stay well too) :grouphug:

Checking in :23:

Bobbieka 03-12-2020 06:45 AM

Have an awesome day, guys!

Spacegoat 03-12-2020 06:56 AM

Hey :)

You too Bob!

PhoenixJ 03-12-2020 03:29 PM

For the first morning in 2 months- I have bearable pain- brufen strength pain for me. It can be like the Chinese water torture analogy, where a constant drip of water on the forehead of a restrained victim - after a long time- drives them insane. In sculpture- I am finding the assignments interesting cognitively. It is using every day materials to create stuff they were not designed for. Paper, bike tyre rubber, wire..... brain plasticity indeed.

All the virus stuff has yet to have any significant impact on life in my little city thus far. Apart from the obvious like petrol prices (on one stretch of road- a 50cents per litre diff between 2 petrol stations)and major events being monitored. For people like me who prefer not to be in crowds- it is quite ok.

We even have bog roll rationing here.

Spacegoat 03-12-2020 05:53 PM

Same here yeah!

I made a joke in the shop that some peeps are shetting themselves...

Its true though.
