Hot stuff here. I did mange to get a little golf in this morning - it was 90F at 7am and about 107F by the time I finished at 11am. I'm acclimated a bit - but still, I'll be recovering and re-hydrating the rest of today and taking it slow tomorrow.

I'm learning to embrace the slow pace of my life at the moment - it's an adjustment, but a welcome one.

Hope the migraine is better tomorrow PJ

Be good ....

107 at 11am is insane. Who is in charge of this?

I am used to that temp from Melbourne, but not by 11am. It seems to just hit you in the face here....the hot days are like BOOM, 9am already over 90.....I am used to a more gradual creep up through the day towards the hottest point being from around 3pm-5pm ish. And it cools down a lot more overnight in Aus than it does here. Plus the humidity is much higher here.

So it's hot.

I totally understand why people move to Australia for the weather now. But the top end of the temps, the ones you are getting now MITA are above my coping threshold.

Anyway, sorry for the ramble.

I hope that you begin to heal and feel better Caroline. s

And I hope you get well fast dear Bobbie and daughter. s

One last hurrah for the aura. BIG sleep (11hours), so hopefully it will stay away. I have stuff to do.

Melbourne sounds like San Diego, so much! It reached 97F here today - I was helping my father at his house, and I confess I started to get grouchy. Said to my dad...”If I stay here much longer, I’m going to melt.” Heat headache when I got home. Hydrate, nap, more hydrate...now I’m outside on my patio at 10:30 pm and it’s simply delightful. I could stay out here for awhile and be happy watching my friend the moon.

the picture of Adelaide is wonderful. Hope the migraine is better soon PJ.

I missed national kitten day!

Stay cool friends. Well, I mean you’re always cool, but I mean don’t get overheated.

Peace and love.

Test came back negative. All good on that front.

Hope your migraine is staying away, PHX.

We should be hitting the hundreds next week. Just 97 and humid for now. I can't believe I used to play and coach ball in this. I got old. You're a better man than me MITA (you know what I mean) I would have skipped the golf.

Have a great day, people.

Good news Bobbie and PJ!!

After hibernating most of the week, I really look forward to that time on the golf course - regardless of the temp outside.

Purps, I saw my first commercial for Shark Week - August 9

Wonderful news, Bobbie!

Warm here, but not to the level others are handling.

I have a request. Since all of you have conquered your addiction, or are in remission, how did you take that leap? I know that I want to be sober yet continue drinking. What was your turning point? Please do not try to spare my feelings if you think tough love is in order. As much as I want sobriety, I apparently don't want it enough. It's maddening.

Haha - In my mind, I had you and Shark Week connected. Thanks for the correction - I'll have to send a message to PeacefulRain

Hey Thirteenth What helped me this last time was The Alcohol Experiment by Annie Grace....I got to learn more about how drinking was affecting my body, and had something to look forward to each day for the 30 days.....I've repeated it a couple of times to stay on track (something I should do again honestly) but at first my goal was to reach my record of 5 months, then thought hey, why not go for 6....then just kept going....I still have thoughts that creep in, so I know it's important to stay close.
