Hello all! It is a rainy day here in Belfast but luckily no flooding - hope this incoming storm doesn't affect those of you in flood areas too much. I have just finished a big piece of work so I can take it a bit easier today heading into the weekend. I feel very relieved and pleased I was able to juggle everything. This week has zipped by in a bit of a blur. I'm terribly sorry to hear about the shooting - it is so distressing that these things are still happening so frequently, I'm sure it must be frightening when you are so close by. Happy birthday to Toots - are you doing anything nice to celebrate? :fest06: Welcome to Sydneyman - I just found this group a few days ago too so we are both newbies :) I have forgotten your name (sorry) but congratulations on sending your book off to be printed! Apologoes for being MIA. Turns out juggling daily ultrasounds with kids care and hubby’s 3 hour daily commute is non trivial . egg retrieval procedure is tomorrow. So far so good. It will take a weel to grow and a week to test to know if we have any viable little ones. Next week is likely Grandma’s last week in OH as she has stopped eating. I would like to sit vigil to help my mom, but now is not a good time to travel due to the virus, It’s definitely a full circle of life packed into a week type of week. I was MIA from my family for so long as an active addict and I have a lot of guilt about not going now because of it. I feel like I am repeating the same behaviors of being unavailable when it counts. I hoped everyone has a good weekend. |

SE, as has been said, forgive your past self. I know your grandma would want you to focus on yourself and the potential new life you are hoping to bring into the world. Thanks for all the well wishes folks, I played golf this morning and this afternoon we drove to the highlands and have just had a wonderful meal. Years ago, my birthday would not be worth a darn without a boatload of booze in me. Man, am I happier now! |

Good morning Overs It’s February 29 and leap year. This is my second leap day sober! :) Wind is howling and the heating is on....a lot to be grateful for. Toots, pleased you had a good birthday...being sober for it makes all the difference. :) Have a Super Saturday my friends xxxx |
