In at 0646 open to the idea of 24 hours of clean time and sobriety along with some nurture, goodwill, and politeness. That's all, not too much to ask. What changes of requests from the drudgery of drunkenness'.
Still in the throes of winter. I can complain about it. Best to accept it right? Or fly south which will be in a month. I'm just tired of the temps. I'm purposely not dressing for it...this is when we northerners toughen up.
bailey that would have been me in the ditch at a much younger age wearing X country skis and a wine pouch. There were the times I almost got hypothermia, and almost drowned. Stuff like that doesn't happen sober.
I'm clean, sober, and sane, but the common basics daily living border still on unmanageability. A review of the first three AA steps, and a rational thinking exercise dispirited any energy of using thoughts.
Living by myself uses up enormous amounts of time thinking, pleasing, sating, my self. Most of it is unselfish thoughts and actions, but literally, added up, I can spend hours thinking of the past. I said wait a minute that sounds like an awful amount. Could free up much time to be productive.
Breaking for my frozen grapes and blueberries! Yay.

Slipped up yesterday. Starting Day 1, this 17th day of February. Thank you, Kenton, for your kind words and awesome support on that thread I started yesterday evening. I have much hope and renewed strength that this will be my last Day 1. That, of course, could not happen without my changing something and I changed at least two things: 1. I actually admitted my slip (sometimes I lean toward perfectionism, and would have hugely preferred to pretend I didn't fall, and that folks, is pure delusion) and 2. I wrote myself a note of what I was feeling before I drank, why I chose to do it, what I expected from it, and what it actually delivered. This is a note I will read and reread the next time I am tempted to drink.
Day 1, in Missouri, 24 hours for me, please.
