24 more hours please. Glad to be posting at last. Had a bit of a bug and some seemingly endless chores to finish over the last week. Now I'm going to give myself the treat of reading back over the thread, especially the milestoners news. Hope everyone is well.

My view is counting clean and sober days is good, backed up with self-honesty about how well we have done and what needs work.
Kicking alcohol, drugs, other addictions is a monumental undertaking. Some people outside of recovery might pooh-pooh it.
There still is the ingrained belief that not handling your booze is some how a show of weakness, for us guys, masculinity.
Or, my mother was a good one for this, "If you would just stop drinking every thing will be alright." Stopping is the start to recovery which requires a lot of work -- worth counting.
After a year I hope my focus stays on one day after the next. More mature. Healthier.
So coming in at 19 weeks plus today requesting 24 hours at 0518.
