Made it! Today is my 500th day of sobriety.
I quit drinking in November, 2018 and have discovered it rates wayyy up there on my list of “Wisest Things I Have Ever Done”.
Hope all of my Sobriety Pathfinders and Pandemic Pals here are doing good.
As an alcohol addict, I find that completely eliminating booze from your life reaps huge personal rewards… and inner peace.
“No thanks, I don’t drink”
(I will have some of that pie, though...)

My wife and I were buying groceries a couple of days ago. I noticed a guy a few customers in front of us. Older gentleman, probably a couple years older than me.
His cart contained nothing but hard alcohol and was pretty well filled up.
Sure made me pause and think....
Same here Rd2. Strange times indeed.
I haven't been on SR that much in the past week or so. In all honestly I did think about drinking during this quarantine, but more of a "what if I was still drinking" during this time. Quickly remembered I'd probably be drunk by 4pm with a hangover to stave off by 10pm, with sleep nearly impossible unless I took something. So that was a good memory LOL.
Hope you all are well.

Nice to see you both check in Rd2 and Jimmy.
Yes still in lockdown and having drinking thoughts but only thoughts thankfully. Eating loads of chocolate though. Any excuse just like when I drank. Luckily walking for at least 2 hours a day so burning off some calories.

Well, it's going damn good, thanks for asking.
I'm eagerly awaiting to post my !18 months! AF message right here.
Pandemic has actually provided me time to do stuff around my house that I've been procrastinating about....
Walking the dog on the bike trails near my house. No booze, no cravings.
Even shelter-in-place pandemics are better sober than drunk... :-)
